Way Out West - Only Love (Jerome Isma-Ae vocal remix) [Hope Recordings]
True artists don't follow trends, they reinterpret them to fit their vision - staying true to who they are yet staying current with the modern groove. With club anthems like "Mindcircus," "Ajare," and "The Gift," Way Out West, the duo of Nick Warren and Jody Wisternoff have definitely had their effect on the cannon of progressive house music. While many producers/artists are making what sound like 80s records with a minor update, WOW chooses to incorporate 80s sounding keyboards while retaining their sound. While we love Omi and hope that she has a few tracks on their forthcoming CD We Love Machine, we also appreciate quality male vocalists on club tracks such as the Apollo approved Jonathan Mendelsohn who sings "Only Love." - DJ Ron Slomowicz

Mark Knight & Funkagenda - Flauta Magica (original mix) [Toolroom]
The embodiment of the modern DJ, Mark Knight’s legacy already ranks him as a leading player in dance music culture’s evolution into the digital and globalised age. His high octane sets, which treble and bass their way right across the dance music spectrum, have caused dance floor carnage in every corner of the world, whilst his original productions and slick remixes make his studio skills the most in-demand and sought after in the business. Yet, Mark Knight’s rise to number 42 in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll (2008) has been more than just gigs and remixes. Not content with the status quo and outdated DJ ideas and methods, he created his own workshop for 21st century dance musicians, Toolroom Records, and with it a new way of thinking. If you haven’t already done so, it’s time to join Mark Knight on the global Toolroom rollercoaster through what modern day dance music is all about. Join the queue, hold tight and enjoy the ride.

Hard Rock Sofa - Let Me Go (instrumental mix)
Hard Rock Sofa are a three-man DJ-ing outfit from the town of Smolensk, close to the Russia/Belarus border. This far-western location, meant in the past that Smolensk suffered more than its fair share of military conflict: both Napoleon and Hitler decided that trashing the town en route to Moscow was a reasonable tactic. Nowadays Hard Rock Sofa turn those same destructive tendencies to much happier ends, all in the name of a pithy credo posted on their MySpace page: “The Kindness Is Boundless.”

DJ Fist - Kamikaze (George F Tekk Tribe remix)
When you think Colombia, you usually don’t think dance music, clubbing, or even the word fun. You think danger, cartels, and more danger.
