| Alex Gold Artist Profile |

| Real Name: | Alex Gold |
| Profile: | British DJ/producer, club organization mastermind, and independent dance music label owner Alex Gold started DJing in 1985 when house music had broken out of underground clubs in London and other important cities around the world. Two years later, he began spinning turntables on the Spanish Mediterranean Balearic Island of Ibiza. In August 1995, Alex Gold founded his own recording company, called Xtravaganza, making its debut with the release of Chicane's "Offshore." However, the label's breakthrough came after signing up with Sony and issuing the chart-topping single "Don't Give Up," featuring Bryan Adams. Xtravaganza was officially launched in the U.S. on March 30, 2001, at New York's Limelight. Global cosmopolitan dance became his trademark in the nightclub field with performances all over the world, including Privilege (previously known as Amnesia), one of the largest clubs in Europe. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide |

Deadmau5 - Dr Funkenstein (original mix) [Play Records]
In this world of ever evolving genres, sounds and trends, the word phenomenon is rarely if ever used, unless of course you are the hottest talent in the world of electronic music and your name is deadmau5. There is now the concept of his new live show. Operating off Ableton Live, and incorporating hi-tech controllers like Lemur, Monome, and visual effects, this full live stage show is changing the face of live dj performances as we know it. And there is the tailor made giant Mau5head complete with powerful strobe lighting eyes that get his fans in a frenzy during his spellbinding sets. In every sense of the word, the past year has been nothing short of phenomenal for deadmau5, and yet impossible as it may seem, things are set to be even bigger.
SwankyTunes - Venture (original mix) [The Mansion Recordings]
Of all the exciting new house sounds coming out of the East these days - Swanky Tunes ranks among the most noteworthy. The group formed in 1998, experimenting with different electronic stylings in pursuit of their own sound. At first, there were techno sounds mixed with vintage synthesizers. Then the group moved into a distinctly big-beat influenced sound. After that they tried to touch more the french-house, early Depeche Mode, electro-80's and the contemporary electro-house movement. These days, hints of the house, techno, trance, new rave and progressive are all finding their way into the mix, which is simply called “dirty house music. The result has been increased recognition from fans and critics in their native Russia. Swanky Tunes were named "Best Musical Group of 2006 and 2007" at the Russian Dance Music Awards. Their fiery live performances gained them an invitation to open the Fort Dance Festival in 2006 year. Based on this past success, rumors abound that this new young group may soon emerge on the top of the dance club charts worldwide.
Topspin, Matuss & Andy Fink - Modena (Manuel De La Mare Bologna remix) [Vibra Macz]
Alex Ponomaryov aka Topspin was born and grew up in Kiev, Ukraine. In two years music became a part of his life, three years after – he became a part of the music. Then it goes - first tracks, remixes and releases... The main feature of Alex is his innate ability in working with styles – he easily creates synthetic digital techno or softly sounding progressive.
Cooperation with Matuss(Los Angeles) and Phantom Project determined new brunches in developement of commercial line.
Henry Saiz – Hada l (original mix) [Renaissance]
Henry Saiz is one of the fastest rising artists in the scene, with his productions and amazing live sets.
2007 was a breakthrough year for this young star, taking his live show around Europe whilst his original productions on esteemed Spanish labels Natura Sonoris, Paradigma Musik & Software, were picked up by no less than John Digweed for his recent compilation: Transitions Vol.4. Such was Digweed’s belief in the Henry’s production talents that he cherry-picked him to remix his track ‘Gridlock’, which was released on Renaissance Recordings earlier this year. He recently signs for Renaissance Label.
Lauma - Mojito (original mix) [ABP]
Lauma serves up a hefty slice of progressive house tinged with tech elements,a chunky grooving track that will please most floors. Lauma are on hand to serve up the sun-drenched goods that fuses prog and tech perfectly meaning this will appeal to house and tech heads alike! If you're after some big room music, you need this in your bag!
Alex Lamb - Tension (original mix) [Auryn Music]
The driving force behind ALEX LAMB'S production career is obvious, but you'd be wrong in thinking that his successful start is based on this philosophy alone. He started writing melodic trance at the tender age of 14. After three years or so, his productions started to take on a harder sound, with ALEX drawing heavily from influences such as SHOKK, A*S*Y*S AND UBERDRUCK.
John Dahlback - Everywhere (Topspin remix) [Vibra Macz]
John Dahlbäck was born in 1985 in a small village not too far away from Stockholm, the Swedish capital. Since everyone in his family was in some way involved with music, it was no surprise when John started making his own. By playing around with his fathers Atari computer John learned the basics and after several changes in setup he finally found his sound. There's nothing stopping this youngster, with more releases than any other on some of the biggest labels. Who knows what will happen in the future but one thing is for sure, John Dahlbäck will be there.
Voltax ft. Betty Bizarre - The Music And Me (Kid Chris In Bed With Space remix) [Leaders Of The New School]
etty Bizarre There are many DJs keeping themselves more in the background. And there are just a few being as offensive with her presence as Djane Betty Bizarre from Cologne. She is not only one of Germany's hottest DJanes, she stands out from the crowd because of her terrific sets including great vocal performances. It's a cool mixture of: House, Techhouse, Techno In 1988 Betty Bizarre (aka Betty Blum at that time) discovered her passion for the turntables by a good friend and startet dj-ing in the nearer area of Solingen/Germany. 1990 she decided to back out of the scene because of family reasons. 2004 she meet cult DJ Jens Lissat (hits like: „Who is Elvis“, „Forever young“ or „Der Erdbeermund“), who became her longtime companion. After producing her first track „Enlarge your penis“ with Lissat & Voltaxx (Toolroom Rec.)and 2 more releases on Opaque Music and the US based label Dynamik Music , she got a lot of international response and offers. Jens convinced her finally to start a comeback as a DJane... From that on the „dark diva“ rediscovered her passion for the clubs and is now rocking the clubs worldwide.
Steve Angello - Tivoli (Hy2rogen & Fr3cky remix) [Size Records]
As a small boy Steve was introduced to the wonders and delights of the Athen’s club culture and underworld in which his father moved. Deeply enthused by all of this and, as it emerged, incredibly talented, Steve quickly honed his turntablism skills, fusing hip-hop, breakbeats and 70’s classics until he won himself his first club residency in Stockholm. Under-age (16) and out way past his bedtime, Steve was earning a not-so-honest crust to support his family alone. Whatever, he was seriously rocking that club week in week out! Steve Angello is an inspiration. He is a remarkable talent and a consummate professional. His music is borne of real life and real passion. This is just the beginning for Steve, he has just turned 21 years of age. He knows where he’s going, and he’ll certainly get there…
Philippe B. & Romain Curtis - Like This (Thomas Gold & Chriss Ortega remix) [Spinnin Records]
2009 had a busy start for Thomas Gold, with his first single of the year, a collaboration with Matthias Menck, “Everybody Be Somebody” topping the international charts. Thomas’ success continued when his anthemic remix of “Delerium’s” classic “Silence” dominated the Beatport chart and picked up the coveted Beatport Music Award for “Best Progressive House Track”. Thomas’ flawless talent as a producer has resulted in a string of massively successful single releases: “Don..t You Want Me”, “Everybody Be Somebody”, “Losing My Religion” to name but a few
SoLiquid - Taipei Pocok Salata (Quivver remix) [Baroque Records]
Soliquid (David Biczók), regardless of being only 23 years old, has reached huge success all over the world with his original productions and remixes receiving strong play list support from John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren, Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten to name but a few. He is one of the most internationally recognized producers in Hungary and during his career thus far he has produced a wide range of styles from trance & progressive house to minimal & tech house.
