Austin Leeds Artist Profile

Real Name: Austin Leeds
Profile:

Austin Leeds is that kind of modest musical genius who doesnԴ mention his amazing body of work or long, successful career when you first meet him.  Instead heԬl drag you into his studio to get your opinion on his next track, always striving to improve and innovate.  And with the huge number of quality tunes he churns out, you could be in there for a while.

Austin first rose to prominence with a string of hits on John DigweedԳ Bedrock label in 2000, and quickly started seeing his music everywhere.  It wasnԴ long before Leeds' music had found a honored spot in the record bags of all the DJ heavyweights: Danny Tenaglia, Erick Morillo, DJ Vibe, Oscar G, Deep Dish, John Digweed, Sander Kleinenberg, and Superchumbo, to name a few.  In one year alone, Austin had five of his tracks played on Pete TongԳ BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, by DJs Deep Dish, Murk, Sharam, Armin Van Burren, and Seb Fontaine.

Originally from Miami, a town that is no stranger to dance music, Austin recently settled in Las Vegas, that other sun-drenched capital of sonic hedonism, just down the street from good friend and production partner Nick Terranova.  AustinԳ collaborative partnership with Nick has been a long and successful one.  The Terranova

2009 was Alan Fitzpatrick’s year. Having enjoyed a rapid ascent from new kid on the techno block to a highly respected and in-demand producer, the last half of 2009 saw Alan go from strength to strength with critical acclaim for his productions and demand for his DJing coming from all corners of the globe. Currently locked away in the studio writing his debut album for Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label, this highly anticipated long-player marks the culmination of a run of hot productions that led to him being publically name-checked as a one of the most exciting producers in techno by Adam Beyer, Dubfire and Carl Cox and a BBC Radio 1 Essential New Tune for his anthemic Reflections single on Bedrock. Such was his dominance that at one point in September Alan had an amazing eight tracks in Beatport’s techno Top 100.  Alan goes into the start of the new decade on a real high. Having scored a prestigious Radio 1 Essential New Tune for his massive “Reflections” track on Bedrock, Alan went on to dominate Beatport’s techno Top 100 chart through the Autumn with releases on Drumcode, Bedrock, Figure, Size, Sprout and Curfew. As if 2009 could not have been any better, Alan rounded off the year with one of the best received tracks from Adam Beyer’s epic Remainings III remix package to follow his chart topping EP’s for Drumcode (Static and Face Of Rejection) and fresh sounding and cutting edge remixes for Frankfurt imprint Weave Music and Paolo Mojo’s Oosh Records.

Morgan Page - Strange Condition (Ran Shani remix) [Nettwerk]
Producer/DJ Ran Shani is on a roll. With every release, he reinforces himself as a critics' favorite, while his popular success keeps on growing. He just can't seem to get it wrong, And yet he's the most humble cat you'll ever meet. Probably because he's too busy making music, touring the world or composing for major film releases to catch the buzz himself. When asked about his inspiration, Ran will go into one of his passionate analysis of a world where Jean Michel Jarre met Quincy Jones, they jammed with Daft Punk and why it all makes sense. When pressed as to what he's trying to achieve, Ran smiles and mumbles something about life in Tel Aviv being at 145 BPM... "...I relax by bringing it down to 125..."
