DBN Artist Profile

Real Name: DBN
Profile:

DBN, a mash-up of three artists, musicians and dj’s, which are disposed to rough up the worlds electronic scene. With their musical background and experience of djing for over 15 years, they started together to produce own tracks in 2004. Their unique sound is only one reason why their tracks get very well received trough out the industry and the crowd on the dance floor all over the world.

In 2007, their remix for John Dahlbacks “Everywhere” has been acclaimed worldwide by DJ’s like Axwell, Eric Prydz, David Guetta, Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Michael Gray, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Tom Novy and can be found in radio-playlists of big names like Pete Tong (BBC 1), Eddie Thoneick (Radio FG) or Joachim Garraud (Radio FG).

And finally, the massive breakthrough single “The Nighttrain” (feat. Kadoc) creates a giant hype around DBN. Not only its dark phatt bassline with the typical grooves are making this record a real big one. It’s moreover the massive support by worlds leading DJs and international releases on labels like Ministry Of Sound, Paradise, Joia, Pickadoll, Defected, Positiva, Kontor, Ultra Records, Time Records and many more.

After various productions and remixes for artists like Sebastian Ingrosso, EDX, Eddie Thoneick, Roger Sanchez, Bob Sinclar, Erick Morillo, Dirty South, Steve Angello & Laidback Luke, Wippenberg, 2raumwohnung, Dim Chris or Norman Doray DBN popped up again in 2009 with their single “Asteroidz” that was re-released on Yoshitoshi Recordings, their first WePLAY release “Stars” (in collaboration with Tommy Trash & Michael Feiner), the club banger “Jack Is Back” (#01 at German Dance Charts) and their co-op “My Belief” with Syke‘n’Sugarstarr & Cosmo Klein (#01 at German Dance Charts). Not forgetting the cooperation with the Australian producer Neon Stereo "Delta" which got massive support from DJ's around the globe.

And now they did it again! The current DBN single “Chicago” is again on top of the German Dance Charts. More over the guys are working right now on several remixes e.g. Jean Elan, Tristan Garner, Greg Cerrone or Ich+Ich. Also different co-op’s with Patric la Funk, Tommy Trash or Seamus Haji are in the pipe!

DBN loves you!

02. Adam K - Complicated (vocal mix) [Hotbox Digital]
As a young guy, Adam dealt with life’s twists & turns by channeling his energy into music. It started with playing drums and collecting music but life came to him once he got into the studio. Listening, watching and learning all led to the development of his skills. Adam taught himself how to make music. An empathic relationship in production and harmonics made this sound unique. Experimenting with a variety of programs, synths, VSTs and DAWS Adam became a guru of arranging, composing and mastering. Friends and allies along the way helped propel Adam towards the heavier, groovier nature of electronic music. Superstar Mark Oliver, resident DJ of uber club Guvernment, showed Adam a path that brought out new attentions to certain styles. Adam’s chameleonic format changed and soon hits like ‘40,000 yrs. of funk’ electrified music buyers. Companion and Comrade Soha opened the door that gave the jazziest feel to the beat. Alongisde this musical wizard Adam K. would produce songs that rule dance floors around the world. Song after song, remix after remix Adam K. fills dance floor with delight. From the sternest underground aficionado to the carefree clubber no one can resist the sounds of Adam k.

04. Neelix - Ask The Right Questions (Dirtyloud remix) [Spin Twist Records]
Dirtyloud: a bouncing subconsciouness-touchy dance music duo from Brazil.
One is a bass player and the other had been a dj for a long time. Both have passion for music. Right after they first met, the now "duo" began putting their knowledge together.
Eduardo with his hard & funky music background (RHCP, Brothers Johnson, Chic, P-Funk to name a few) and Marcus with his dancefloor smashing experience (Progressive House/Trance) and the huge affinity they have in front of a computer screen were essential to result in a fresh and exciting dancefloor music experience.

05. Tom Neville ft. Frank Stafford - Come My Way (Jerome Isma-Ae dub) [Toolroom Records]
Kicking off 2010 with a flurry of remix excitement with no less than Britney Spears and Keane and frequent plays on Tong, only a few months into the new year and Tom Neville is impressing once again with his flair for production.  With many projects on the go, 2010 is set to be a big year for Tom and his label - Loveminuszero, which has a mean looking release schedule for the coming months, packed full of collaborations. Tom is no stranger to touring, and in 2008 alone completed tours of South America, South Africa, Australia, France, Eastern Europe and Russia. Tom's dynamic DJ sets have come to represent what he does in the studio, throwing house, disco and big bass lines into the mix.

06. George F. Zimmer - Soma (original mix)
George F. Zimmer was a lonesome cowboy in Maryland. He traveled around counties with a bunch of cows, guess around 40. George always fell into daydreams to become a successful DJ one day. playing records in front of thousands of people and make them happy. He imagined himself on the desk spinning and the crowd went crazy, but only in his dreams. When he woke up he always was up on a horse, riding beside the cows. There came a day when he said to himself; "Now. it's over!" He sold all of his cows, horses, dogs and what else he had, went into a computer store and bought himself a Macintosh. The salesman installed him Ableton Live and sold him another old Roland JP8000 to try around with old analog sounds. George felt like he was in heaven, a dream came true. Right away he went home, pluged his computer and started to make music. The outcome of that is now exclusively out on the well known label "Unreleased Digital". The EP is called "Departure". And so Georges dream starts to come true, for real this time... ;-)

07. Shik Stylko ft. Gia Melish - You Are (Sebastian Krieg & Roman F. remix)
When asked about the beginning of his career, Sebastian Krieg finds it quite difficult to remember specific details. His love affair with music began in the early 90s, which drove him to experiment with DJing and producing at an early age—much to the dislike of his roommates and neighbours. Nearly two decades later, Sebastian has made a world-wide name for himself as one of the top progressive producers, and the half French half German living in Munich is looking forward to many upcoming projects he’s working on.
