| Aeron Aether Artist Profile |
| Real Names: | Gábor Kovács |
| Profile: | Aeron Aether (Gábor Kovács) is a Hungarian composer, producer and “experimentalist” of electronic sound. A prolific artist, Aeron has produced top-charting tracks in various sub-genres of electronic music, including house, progressive, chill-out, and breaks. Regardless of the genre, Aeron's goal as a producer remains the same: the composition of innovative and evocative music. In addition to studying electrical engineering, Aeron has spent much of his life composing and listening to music. During his academic study of music, Aeron learned to play cello. Not surprisingly, Aeron has a well-known "signature" of infusing orchestral and symphonic music in almost all of his work. In 2009, Aeron was named "Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2009" by industry heavyweight Matt Darey. His tracks are also supported by a variety of internationally acclaimed house, progressive, and trance DJ's, including: Matt Darey, Marcus Schossow, Jaytech, Solarstone, Eelke Kleijn, Martin Roth, Flash Brothers, Stefan Anion, and many more. Future goals include producing an artist album, as well as scoring film -- the latter lending itself more to Aeron's eclectic influences and artistic tastes. |

Gregor Tresher - A Thousand Nights (Dubfire Quiet Storm remix) [Craft Music]
In the field of electronic music, Gregor Tresher is by no means a debutant. For more than ten years the thirty-four-year old DJ and producer from Frankfurt gathered merits modernizing the algorithms of electronic music. It has been his “Still EP“ in 2004 that upgraded him into the Champions League of European Techno producers. Nalin & Kane - Beachball (Joris Voorn remix) [Superfly Records]
DJs were confined to the turntable for a quarter of a century. They were slaves to the music. Rhythmically matching two records together was all they could do to help people dance. Then technology set them free.CD players with loop functionality, FX units, and sophisticated mixers all helped DJs to seize control of the music in the 1990s. Software was the next phase and it is changing the very meaning of the word ‘DJ’.Dutch producer and DJ Joris Voorn [a] has embraced technology. His ‘Balance 14’ mix CD, released in February, saw Voorn mix over 100 tracks across two CDs, with each different track a layered construction of three or four different songs. With mixing in parts (or molecular mixing) becoming more and more common, Beatportal decided to meet Joris Voorn to find out his opinion about what is the definition of a DJ today.

The Good Guys ft. Alex Senna - Inside (Brown Sugar & Kid Shakers vocal mix) [Sume Music]

Since this time he plays besides many great international DJs (Bob Sinclar, Armand Van Helden, David Guetta, Antoine Clamaran...) both in French clubs, such as Follie's Pigalle, Gibus or Amnesia (Paris) and in international clubs ( Tunisia - Odeon, USA - Il Forno - California...).

Kaskade ft. Haley - Dynasty (Dada Life remix) [Ultra]
The singer/songwriter is already loved by millions of dancers worldwide as the ethereal voice of the latest hits from Kaskade and Deadmau5. They’re also some of the most memorable dance tracks of the past year, including UK chart topper “I Remember,” and global phenomenon, “Move For Me.” Her first effort under her own name, “This Is How It Goes,” debuted on Kaskade’s latest compilation “The Grand.”
Haley’s crystal-clear pipes immediately conjure comparisons to some of electronic music’s most enduring voices: Kirsty Hawkshaw, Weekend Player’s Rachel Foster, Jes. But this 29-year-old’s roots are not in dance. She has been singing her entire life, in local competitions, at school assemblies, at sporting events, she sang the National Anthem at a Utah Jazz game when she was 14. The songwriting bug first bit in high school. “I started plucking things out on the piano. I play by ear, so I’m not fabulous, but I wanted to play songs that I liked; I wanted to be able to sing them. So I just figured them out on the piano, and that led me to writing my own music.”

B.Y.O.B vs. J Majik & Wickaman - Save My Life (Lazy Rich instrumental)
Though he's one of the youngest members of the Metalheadz stable, Jamie Spratling debuted back in 1992 with tracks recorded for the Planet Earth label. Similar to the other Metalheadz, Majik's 12"s are dark affairs, with some of the best drum'n'bass lines around, though he leavens the brew with jazzy flourishes, like the Spanish guitar prevalent on the flip side of his first single for Metalheadz, "Your Sound." Living in Northwood, England, he began DJing in the early '90s -- while in his early teens -- and recorded "6 Million Ways to Die" in 1992 as DJ Dextrous. Two more singles followed for Planet Earth before the real DJ Dextrous became known to him, after which he turned to the alias J. Majik for his 1994 debut on Metalheadz, "Your Sound." The track was an undeniable classic, and later showed up on the Platinum Breakz compilation. Besides later singles for Metalheadz such as "Jim Kutta" and "Arabian Knights," Majik records for Mo'Wax as well as his own Infra Red label, which released his debut LP, Slow Motion, in mid-1997. - John Bush, All Music Guide

Sander Kleinenberg - T.I.O.N. (5K remix) [Little Mountain Recordings]
The Hague is a city of contradictions. It is the political centre of The Netherlands, a city of high class, stiff upper lips and more limousines than average cars. On the other hand the Hague is also the city where the most devestating Dutch dance-music is being produced. Remy of RR Workshop, Pako & Frederik, Vincent de Moor and numourous other underground icons are based here. Their sound is sparse, banging, soulful and when a melody comes in there is a bloody good reason for it. Sander Kleinenberg is from the Hague. His sound and Dj-ing technique represents these elements. But there is something else as well. His style of music matured over the years into a wonderful and extremely funky melting pot of dark & sexy US grooves and atmospheric, uplifting trance. In his sets he never goes for the easy option: dropping anthem after anthem. Instead he loves to tease his audience and bringing them into a frenzy.

Dirty Super Car - Get A Grip (Maximilian remix) [Grand Hotel Records]
Maximilian: a Peckham-born DJ for 6 years… Back in the day, you would have found him playing Jungle at illegal raves in Suffolk. Shortly after that you would have found him playing dark D’n’B in the clubs of Bury St. Edmonds and Ipswich. Now you’ll find him in London to playing Electro House and Disco…
