Her current release, 'See The Sun', a collaboration with world renowned DJ Matt Darey /Urban Astronauts (song written and vocalled by Kate) currently remains at the top of the trance charts, spending over 6 weeks in the number 1 position on Beatport. ASOT also named the track among the top 20 trance records of 2009. Kate writes and performs for a variety of established acts and artists and is currently published by Notting Hill Music. Her material is available on a whole host of labels including Hed Kandi, Ministry Of Sound, EMI Positiva, Drizzly, Universal, Virgin, Asgard, Sony BMG and many more. Her debut dance track, 'Whatever, Keep Me Guessing', back in 2004 for Solasso was quickly snapped up by Hed Kandi and is still a best loved tune with DJ's the world over. Kate has recently released a cross/genre solo record (see first friend link 'Kate Smith' below for more info). Kate wrote and recorded the record during 2009 and the stunning album sees Kate return to her earthy / folky roots.

Deep Mariano - Lunar (Beat Factory mix) [Sick Watona]
Almost ten years have passed since Mariano Marcial Pérez entered to the music scene under the artistic name of Deep Mariano. After playing in most of the best clubs in his hometown (Rosario – Argentina) he started to show up in the Buenos Aires electronic music scene and slowly but firmly gained recognition. By that time, he had been writing and producing music. His EP “2002” caught John Digweed ‘s attention of, who played it on his own radio show “Transitions”. His work has also the support of top world djs like Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha and Laurent Garnier. He has as well remixed top artists like Switch (M.I.A’s producer), Pole Folder, Jeff Bennet. His music has been released by underground and major labels like Snejl, Frisky Records and Sony Music among others. His last remarkable piece is his remix of “Loba”, one of the songs of Shakira’s new album. After his first performance at Creamfields Bs.As in 2005 his career started to grow. The festival definitely meant a step forward in his career, implying performances in some of the world’s top clubs like WOMB (Tokyo – Japan) , WARUNG (Brazil), Pachá (Buenos Aires) or State (Buenos Aires),appearances in John Digweed’s radio show “Transitions” and in DJ Magazine as “Breaktrough DJ 2008” where Hernan Cataneo voted him. In addition to this, as a supporter dj, he warmed up the audience before Sasha’s, Digweed’s, Junkie XL’s, Jimmy Van M’s and Hernan Cattaneo’s sessions. Besides, he shared big festivals like “Southfest” with artists like LCD Soundsystem, Ladytron or MSTRKRFT and played several times in “Moonpark”. Now Mariano is about to release his first artist album “Toolbox”, which will reflect the influences of almost a decade of career
Marco V ft. Khashassi - Scenario (Daniel Portman remix) [In Charge]
If you were to define the term ‘dance music purist’, you’d take into consideration a number of factors... knowledge, passion and substance. Combine them together and you get Marco V. Like many of the world’s superstar DJs Marco was born and bred in Holland. He is a modest and down to earth family man with an undying lust for music. Entrenched in the scene from an early age, it was clear right from the start which path Marco would take. The rest as they say is dance music history, but a history that Marco has not only shaped but continues to re-define with every thought out move. Few DJs have done more than Marco V to draw new talent into the dance music vortex. Whilst inspiring new producers, he has also been described as the DJ’s DJ with many of his colleagues closing following what he does both in the studio and behind the decks – this is testament to his impeccable taste, and unrivalled talent. To stay ahead to the game you have to adapt as trends change, and Marco is the master at this. On the decks he holds complete control of the crowd with a style that is impossible to put into words, incorporating anything from fierce electro to driving techno and beyond. Travel the globe and you’ll be hard pushed find a major club that hasn’t felt his force.
Amaya - Amaya (Jimmy Andersson remix) [Hugh Recordings]
Dj Amaya started out as a musician/producer, as part of the electronic duo 'The Euroboyz'. As a member of 'The Euroboyz', Dj Amaya learned the art of making electronic music, while utilizing his years of experience playing in live rock bands. Over the years he continued to grow in his production skills, and started to make remix versions of the group.During the year 2001, DJ Amaya picked up a love of live DJing with vinyl, after being inspired by the live recorded sets of Paul Oakenfold. During the following years as his skills as a DJ were being refined, his music became increasingly more, and more influenced by the sound of trance music. Soon DJ Amaya's sets were notoriously known for being huge, epic, and melodic, having a style & sound unique to him. By taking influence from Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, and Sasha, and spinning sets that were clearly influenced, but always unique to Amaya. In the year 2003, Dj Amaya picked up a copy of the remix vinyl of "Everything but the girl" song "Tempermental", which had a acapella remix on it. Using this Dj Amaya produced his first official white label remix. This remix was the first "Epic' remix by him. Although most of the original remixes did not contain the DJ Amaya name, just that it was a "2003 Epic mix".It wasn't long before Dj Amaya tracks became some of the best on the internet download scene. His originals and remixes began appearing on many DJ playlists.
The Martin Brothers - Steal Drums (original mix) [dirtybird]
The Martin Brothers return with another creative track featuring their signature marriage of big bass and cool melody. One listener suggested it sounds like a "Happy Japanese village that gets crushed by Godzilla." Remix riders come from the Dirtybird stable with Julio Bashmore & Riva Starr taking the reigns; Riva's jacking renditions are the clubland answers for those too afraid to rock the original. Whilst the Bashmore mix is a lush reinterpretation flush with 808s and shimmering melodica.

Steve Angello - KNAS (original mix) [Size Records]
As a small boy Steve was introduced to the wonders and delights of the Athen’s club culture and underworld in which his father moved. Deeply enthused by all of this and, as it emerged, incredibly talented, Steve quickly honed his turntablism skills, fusing hip-hop, breakbeats and 70’s classics until he won himself his first club residency in Stockholm. Under-age (16) and out way past his bedtime, Steve was earning a not-so-honest crust to support his family alone. Whatever, he was seriously rocking that club week in week out!Steve’s first ventures into the studio were with best buddy Sebastian, at Seb’s father’s place but it was a further three years before the mighty “Freshly Squeezed” and “Echo Vibes” were created and released on Joia Records, Drawing heavily on influences such as Daft Punk’s “Homework LP”, Steve was finding new favour with the house music fraternity. Indeed “Echo Vibes”, something of a hit at the time, was remixed by Eric Prydz, with whom Steve has remained close ever since. Today Steve, Sebastian , Eric and Axwell are known collectively as the Swedish House Mafia. Steve Angello is an inspiration. He is a remarkable talent and a consummate professional. His music is borne of real life and real passion. This is just the beginning for Steve, he has just turned 21 years of age. He knows where he’s going, and he’ll certainly get there…

Nicky Romero - Switched (original mix) [Revealed Recordings]
Nicky Romero, born on 6 January 1989 grew up in a small city called "Amerongen", lived in Canada (Kingston) for a few years. Nicky hits the first snare drum at the age of 6 and started playing drums in a fanfare. After playing a year or three, he'd been asked to play in a huge group who had acts on street and big events. That was fun though, but not enough for small Nicky. At the age of 12 he got is first set of Drums, and started practising, practising and practising. Well, after 3 years playing drums everyday and night , it was enough and he changed the drums for turntables. School never had his interest, so after graduating he started producing music. And after hours, hours and hours of practising (throw lots of computers out of the window) he got his first label called "Once Records", who's going to release the tracks: Privilege & QWERTY. After that deal, the next track came up called "Funktion One". From that moment everything went very fast. Dutch famous DJ/Producer Madskillz got interested in "Funktion One" from that on Nicky signed Funktion at Azucar (from Madskillz & Gregor Salto). Later they added "Hear My Sound" to their label two! These day's allmost every high rated DJ has a few Romero records in his bag, which remixes for Ian Carey, Dirty South, David Vendetta, Sidney Samson this DJ has left his mark in the house scene. He just finished his new track "Nicky Romero - My Friend" which reaches 4 at Beatport Overal Chart and 1 at Beatport Progressive Chart. Supported by Tiesto, Axwell, SHM, Mark Knight, Funkagenda, Fedde le Grand & more! This track definitely conqueres WMC 2010.
